You will fly to the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu, Hawaii. There are six major islands in Hawaii, and you are flying into Oahu Island. There are non-stop flights from HNL to major cities such as (but not limited to), Beijing, Guangzhou, Haneda, Houston, Kansai, Manila, Melbourne, Nagoya, Narita, Pago Pago, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, Taipei, and Vancouver. For international flights, please keep in mind that masks are still required at all international airports we serve, and certain countries also require that masks are worn in flight as well. We’ve outlined requirements for each country below. Guests who wish to continue wearing face masks are welcome to do so.

Visa

It is strongly recommended that international participants apply for visas at least several months prior to the meeting. Note: Some consulates may have delays in scheduling visa interviews; therefore, applicants should first contact the consulate to determine the wait time for an interview. The wait time for visa applications is available https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas.html.The U.S. Department of State maintains a comprehensive website containing information about traveling to the United States. An interview appointment is required for a visa application at all embassies and consulate (https://www.usembassy.gov/).

Letters of Invitation for Visa

Any person traveling to the United States who requires a passport or invitation letter should check with the appropriate Embassy to determine exactly what is necessary to permit travel to the U.S.A. A member of the Organizing Committee will be pleased to send to the participant an invitation letter upon request, as long as that person has submitted an acceptable abstract for their presentation at the conference. Please note that we cannot provide letters of invitation to spouses, children, or others who will be accompanying you on the trip but not attending the Meeting as registered attendees. The invitation letter should only be intended as a help to get funds, not as a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support.

For international flights, please keep in mind that masks might be required at international airports that you go through, and certain countries also require that masks are worn in flight as well. Please check the information at your airline web site.

Preparing to Attend the Meeting

After you complete the visa application process, use our meeting website to register, please start to plan your travel, reserve your hotel room, etc. To save money and assure you receive proper accommodations, we strongly recommend that you register for the meeting before the deadlines.

Health and Insurance

The registration fees do not include insurance. It is recommended that all registrants consult their travel agent and take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the meeting. The Organizing Committee cannot accept responsibility for uninsured participants.

Currency and Taxes

All transactions are based on US currency (dollars and cents). Denominations are $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100. Coins are 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50 cents.
